About the Role

The goal of this position is to lead a team of SEO Specialists and love and serve our clients and help their business’ visibility on Google search grow. This will, in turn, bring leads and new sales to their business. This position is responsible for overseeing a team of SEO Specialists, making sure that the SEO that is executed reaches the standards set here at Rotate Digital and creates an impact for the businesses we serve.

This is a remote role with flexible working hours. You are free to work when you choose but we ask all employees outside of the USA to be available for communication and ready for last-minute urgent requests/ meetings when necessary at anytime between 9 am - 3 pm US Eastern time.

Ideal Qualifications For this Role

• At least 6 years of experience in SEO
• At least two years of experience working in a team of SEO Specialists
• Experience in driving holistic growth for a service based business. This means driving Local SEO initiatives forward to gain visibility in the Google Map Pack and also driving organic value of the website via organic keywords rankings in the SERPs. You understand the value of the map pack and are able to adjust your implementation to make sure that you’re work is focused on driving the needle that results in increased quality traffic.
• Management Experience, ideally in an agency format, but not necessary.

  • Our work means nothing if it doesn’t create value for clients. So the way we grade success and the changes/improvements we make to a practice or process are made to result in value-creation for clients.
• Rotate Digital’s Product creates value for its clients
  • What we are implementing is focused on value-creation for the client. We are not a box-checking company just fulfilling a list of deliverables.
  • Your research and experimentation should probe RD to continue to improve its own practices. Our product at RD should reflect the latest trends in SEO practices and with predictive awareness of where Google is going.
• Your Pod lives out and influences the culture here at Rotate Digital.
  • You are responsible for your team being a great representation of the culture here at Rotate Digital. Your working relationship with them is similar to a player-coach relationship.
  • Any changes/updates to the process, standards, or expectations; you are responsible for making sure that the members of your Pod make the necessary adjustments

• Strategic SEO Expertise
  • You are the standard of what it means to be a Senior SEO. A Subject Matter Expert. Your deep knowledge of SEO trends, techniques, and predictive analysis is a benefit to the team and helps drive our product/service forward.
  • Your clients are the examples. Your work on them is what drives the rest of the team forward to strive for.
• Leadership & Coaching
  • Ability to lead discussions and projects in a pod-level format
  • Ability to provide insights into the work being done, provide guidance in SEO matters and hold team members accountable for the quality of work being done
  • Ability to lead and execute the MIND meeting (a productive meeting) at an appropriate cadence in order to make sure the Pod is focused on the Most Important Work.
• Performance Management
  • Accountability for team performance and the on-time delivery of SEO projects. When a member of your team is behind on fulfillment or is struggling to succeed consistently for a few clients, there are two people responsible, the SEO Specialist and you.
